An all volunteer group made up of small business representative, artists, and devoted local citizens who are dedicated to building and preserving a thriving artistic community. A “not for profit” organization which is funded primarily through membership, sponsorship, patronage, and fundraising event. Proud and responsible for the highly acclaimed “First Friday Art Walk ”
Location
The Louisville Arts District (LAD) is located in the Historic Downtown Louisville, Colorado recognized by Money Magazine as the #1 place to live in America for an unprecedented two years in a row.
The heart of the LAD encompasses historic downtown Louisville bordered by South, Main, Elm and Front streets plus the new adjoining DELO business section connected by the new pedestrian underpass at the end of South Street.
The LAD Experience
The district offers an array of art galleries, related shops and businesses with ample free parking! Featuring a mix of opportunities within an easy “four block stroll”; visitors can sample over 20 culinary and beverage establishments, shop exquisite galleries, see the latest custom décor and design, visit cafés, wine-bars, ice cream shop, fashion and designer couture, custom jewelry, music classes, web design, CAD design, CPA, yoga, salons and spas. Access to the public library and quaint Historical Museum (Open late during the Art Walk).
As a robust center of the arts, the verve in Louisville is palpable for community members as well as guests. The First Friday Art Walk attracts patrons from all over Colorado and from all 50 states! Taking advantage of many sumptuous al fresco dining choices, specialty shops and galleries, visitors enjoy the diverse art scene and often mix art appreciation with food, music and shopping for a one of a kind experience!
